What is an MSP?
In recruitment, a managed service provider (MSP) handles the comprehensive management of hiring and overseeing contingent workers within an organisation. This encompasses the entire process, from searching and hiring to onboarding, ensuring compliance, managing contracts, handling payroll, and off-boarding.
As businesses strive to enhance productivity, adopting an MSP can be a game-changer. It enables organisations to focus on their core business priorities while entrusting the intricate details of managing their contingent workforce to the expertise of the MSP.
How we ensure success
Deciding to partner with a managed service provider signifies a recognition that change is necessary, and should be approached like any other change management programme. Engagement and buy in from hiring managers are crucial for its success; without their commitment, realising the full benefits becomes challenging.
At Flexhuis, we’ve observed this frequently, which is why we’ve developed a 12-week change and engagement programme to complement our broader implementation plans. Our approach focuses on the hiring manager community, supporting and engaging them in new ways of working and building trust to ensure success.
The process begins with alignment, understanding the needs of hiring managers, and designing the managed service programme to meet those needs. Simplicity is also key, removing complexity to make it easy for hiring managers to engage with the program.
We then form an implementation project team, including our experienced members and individuals from within the organisation, such as the contract manager who serves as the single point of contact between the MSP and the business.
Post-implementation, at Flexhuis, we establish an MSP Steering Committee, responsible for continually reviewing the programme’s effectiveness and driving innovation.
